OUTLINE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

If the vehicle is not available for reasons beyond the hire company's control they reserve the right to substitute a vehicle of similar cartegory or refund all payments without further liability.

Rates/Minimum Hire Periods:

Rates are per day in euros and include unlimited miles/kilometres & VAT (Value Added Tax)

The minimum hire period is seven days.

Drivers' Licences
All drivers must be at least 20 years and not more than 70 years old and have held an appropriate full and valid driving licence in the counry of residence for at least one year. The licence must be in English otherwise an international driving licence is also required. All drivers must be approved in advance.

Paris; Marseille; Lyon; Nice; Toulouse; Ajaccio (Corsica)

Return time: Saturdays 10.00 am
Pickup times Paris, Marseille, Nice, Ajaccio: Monday to Saturday 0900 - 1130 & 1400 - 1700
Pickup times Toulouse, Lyon: Monday 1400 - 1700, Tuesday to Saturday 0900 - 1130 & 1400 - 1700
Drop off times Paris, Marseille, Nice, Ajaccio: Monday to Saturday 0900 - 1200 & 1400 - 1730
Drop off times Toulouse, Lyon: Monday 1400 - 1730, Tuesday to Saturday 0900 - 1200 & 1400 - 1730

IMPORTANT - LATE RETURNS
Motorhomes must be returned on the date and by the time specified on the contract. Late returns must be notified immediately as failure to do so will result in driving whilst uninsured and is illegal.

NBThe hirer will be liable for an extra day's hire for each four hour delay.

Airport/StationTransfers
Private tansfers from airports or the local train stations can be arranged but must be booked in advance. Please enquire for details giving point of arrival and number of passengers.

Insurance
Comprehensive insurance is included. The hirer is liable for the first € 1800 of any damage caused in any one accident or incident.

Collision Damage Waiver (Excess Reduction insurance)
The purchase of CDW insurance reduces the excess to € 300 in any one accident or incident. Cost: € 15 per day (min. € 98)
Overhead damage to the motor home is excluded and is € 1800 for any one accident or incident.

General Exclusions:
- Frost damage
- Damage to the interior
- Loss or damage to radio
- Windows and windscreen
- Tyres
- Use of incorrect fuel
- Personal belongings
- GPS, TV, electronic devices

Personal Travel Insurance
Hirers are strongly advised to take out personal travel insurance to cover personal accident, medical charges, personal property and loss of deposits. They should do this in their country of residence.

Security Deposit/Bond
All hirers must pay a bond at the commencement of hire. This bond is fully refundable if the vehicle has not been involved in an accident and is returned in a suitably clean and undamaged condition. Payment can be made by credit card imprint.
€ 1800 with or without CDW insurance

Handling Fee
There is a one off handling fee charge of € 80 per hire

General Conditions
The Company reserve the right to make deductions over and above the bond for any of, or multiples of the following:
- Missing or damaged equipment;
- the vehicle is not returned in a clean and tidy condition;
- the toilet is not emptied and chemically recharged.
- The fuel tank is not refilled.

The AVIS CAR-AWAY regrets it is unable to make any refunds for vehicles returned before the due date, or unused rental days.

In the event of mechanical failure or major accident rendering the vehicle unserviceable and no alternative vehicle is available, liability will be to only refund those actual lost rental days.

The hirer is liable for all traffic and parking violations.

Hired vehicle operated outside the terms on the rental agreement have no insurance cover and the hirer is liable for the entire cost of damage.

Reservation Deposit
A deposit of 15% of the total daly hire tarrif is required to secure a booking. The full balance is required a minimum of 30 days before the commencement of the hire (cheques 45 days).

The security deposit, insurances and any additional equipment or services must be paid for in full prior to commencement of the hire. Payment for the Security Bond can be made by credit card imprint.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation fees, prior to pick-up are as follows:

over 35 days : loss of deposit

less than 35 days: 100% of total reservation cost
For the purpose of cancellation the charge will exclude the bond, insurance or other options.
